The design of the bottle First Instinct Sheer by Abercrombie & Fitch Eau De Parfum Spray for Women is signed by Fabrice Legros from Studio Pi, inspired by a soft, multi-sensorial shape that curls up in the hand.

First Instinct Sheer by Abercrombie & Fitch  was created by Jean-Marc Chaillan and Celine Barel

Jean-Marc Chaillan

Jean-Marc Chaillan is a perfumer for IFF's fine fragrance department in New York.

As of 2020, he is VP Senior Perfumer at IFF.

Born in France and the son of perfumer, Raymond Chaillan, he grew up in the fragrant land of Grasse

He is a graduate of the ISIPCA perfume school.

He has created fragrances for Avon, Elizabeth Arden, and Calvin Klein.

Celine Barel

Celine Barel is the perfumer behind Durban Jane and Canaan for Maison d'Etto.

She grew up surrounded by the heady aromas of Southern France, and was impassioned by fragrance since childhood.

Engaging with children who had impaired vision or blindness at her primary school, she turned to the olfactory world to share experiences and stimulate play. 

Morocco was another childhood home, and here Celine developed her taste for adventure, tribal cultures and exoticism

These early influences led her to “find beauty in harmonious imperfection,” and the world of dreams, imagination and stories.

Its headquarters are in New Albany, Ohio.
