He went on to explain that this story contains an accompanying commercial and video campaign using the scent's face: a gold, sequined-dress-clad Lily Aldridge in an unknown far-flung location.
She's jumping from a yacht onto a little speedboat with her paramour, Dutch model Wouter Peelen, and sailing into a rose-scented sunset.
Escape as a wordplay
In Kors' collection, Wanderlust is the yearning for escape as a wordplay.
Mario Testino was in charge of the campaign's creation.
The new fragrance's delicious composition was produced in collaboration with Firmenich by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Aurelien Guichard.
Spicy, creamy floral
The dianthus flower is used to give WONDERLUST the appearance of almond milk coupled with a "spicy, creamy floral."
Almond milk top notes are complimented by heliotrope in the heart of the fragrance.
The base of the formula is made up of benzoin, a natural resin from Thailand that gives off a warm feeling, and the spicy sweetness of cinnamon.
